    • It was an independent film directed by Sally El Hosaini.

          • It was distributed by the Warner Brother Pictures.
          • Cuaron wrote the screenplay with his son Jonas and attempted to develop the project at Universal Studios.
          • The film uses long and very uninterrupted shots throughout- to draw the audiences attention to the action.
          • The majority of the 3D was created through stereo rendering.
          • The film contains roughly about 200 cutaways- this is fewer thatn most films in this length.
          • The trailer had audible explosions and other sounds, whereas in the actual movie the sound in the scenes are silent.
          • Most if Sandra Bullock's shots were inside if a mechanical rig.
          • Getting on to the rig took a long time: Bullock opted to staying in the rig for 10 hours per day- communicating through a headset. The crew named the rig 'Sandy's Cage'. 
          • Cuaron aimed to make the set as inviting and non-claustrophobic as possible- everyday when Sandra came in the team attempted this by having a celebration for her.
